APK is a file format used by Android Operating system and a number of Android based operating system for distribution and installation of apps, mobile games etc.
APK stand for Android package kit file format. It is a file which formate all the applications use on the Android operating system (OS). It is use to install and distribute apps across it’s ecosystem.
An APK file contains all the data an app need , including all the software program’s code , assets and resources, achieve file like ZIP and RAR.
Software package , archive files (like ZIP , RAR ) are used to combine multiple files into one, to make files more reliable or compress them to save space. When an archive file is used to distribute any software, then it’s called a software package.
